For instance, right now I'd definitely prefer to play in Hell On Earth...but that's because I've already played a 2 or so year long Deadlands campaign with my current group and so I'd prefer the novelty of Hell on Earth. It's not something I think I could give an objective comparison.

It also bears mentioning that Hell On Earth definitely isn't just Deadlands with nicer guns and a mad max makeover. The style of the two settings is pretty different. Deadlands is all about the veneer of normalcy and alternate history over the crazy monsters and horror. Hell On Earth throws normality out the windows, the crazy horror *is* the norm. Monsters and undead are everywhere and the supernatural is an accepted (if feared) part of life. It's kind of like the difference between a monster movie and a zombie apocalypse movie.Orionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02432901965688158200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6206935652193347242.post-90749654192888141662012-07-10T01:38:23.830-07:002012-07-10T01:38:23.830-07:00This is a question I've posed to few reviewers...This is a question I've posed to few reviewers of this game, and it comes from a long history I have of loving Deadlands (hell, I've still got my first edition, first printing of the original Deadlands rulebook).

Would you rather play Hell on Earth, or the original?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
